NACS Project Wins PRSA “Cleveland Rocks” Award
The Campus Relations Toolkit created by Gianfagna Strategic Marketing for the National Association of College Stores (NACS) won a Silver “Cleveland Rocks!” Award in the annual communications excellence competition sponsored by the Public Relations Society of America. The toolkit includes an array of communications and outreach materials and tactics college stores can use to build more effective relationships across their campuses.

Jean Gianfagna Elected to American Cancer Society Board
Agency president Jean Gianfagna has been elected to a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Cuyahoga County unit of the American Cancer Society. Jean is serving as chair of the ACS Marketing Committee.

Gianfagna Client Named 2008 "Best of the West"
Kudos to Gianfagna client Rae-Ann Nursing Facilities, which again has been named Best Skilled Nursing Facility in the annual competition sponsored by West Shore Magazine. Rae-Ann has won this award two years in a row.

Gianfagna has been recertified as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) by the commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

Gianfagna Wins 5 Communicator Awards
Five marketing communications projects created by Gianfagna have won Silver Awards in the 2008 Communicator Awards competition.

The 2008 product catalog for Prentke Romich Company won in the Catalogs category. Our marketing strategy and creative work for The Cornell Store also won four awards, including two Silver Awards in the Logo Design category (for the Store’s new brand identity and the logo we created for the Store’s customer rewards program), as well as in the Point-of-Purchase Marketing category for in-store banners and in the Advertising category for an ad in the Cornell alumni magazine.

Founded over a decade ago, the Communicator Awards competition annually honors the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations, and brand identity work for print, video, interactive, and audio. The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. There were over 8,500 entries in the 2008 competition.

Gianfagna Shares Marketing Knowledge
Agency president Jean Gianfagna presented a workshop on developing effective direct marketing offers at Interaction 2008, a marketing event co-sponsored by the Direct Marketing Association of Cleveland, Ohio and the Taylor Institute for Direct Marketing at the University of Akron.

Jean also was part of a panel discussion on effective branding and marketing strategies at a meeting of the Large Stores Group of the National Association of College Stores in Savannah, GA.

Gianfagna Re-certified as Women’s Business Enterprise

The Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBENC) has recertified Gianfagna as a Woman's Business Enterprise (WBE). WBENC is a national organization representing Fortune 500 companies and other leading businesses seeking to do business with women’s business enterprises who meet strict criteria for ownership, financial stability, and professional products and services. Gianfagna has been WBENC-certified since 2005.
